These pieces start with a theme and a general plan of the emotion and a message I want them to convey. Color is always first and from there the art reveals itself little by little. Sometimes it takes weeks to complete each piece as I add an element, watch how it works with the rest and what that element asks me to add to it to build the final product. In essence, they paint themselves.
